💔 A Life Without Shelter is a Life at Risk

In Eastern Uganda, countless families — especially widows, orphans, the elderly, and persons with disabilities — live in unsafe, collapsing, or makeshift structures, often without proper roofing, sanitation, or security. Some sleep outdoors entirely, exposed to weather, theft, and disease.

Umar Khan Charity Organization is on a mission to provide secure, dignified housing for the most vulnerable. Because a home is more than a structure — it’s the foundation of hope, safety, and self-worth.

🧱 What We Build

Our Shelter for the Homeless program includes:

• Two-room brick homes with iron sheet roofing
• Lockable doors and windows for safety
• Basic sanitation facilities (latrines & water access)
• Solar lighting where electricity is unavailable
• Furnishings where possible (mattress, utensils, bedding)

We build in deeply underserved villages, prioritizing widowed mothers, elderly without family, and orphan-headed households.
