🕋 Reviving Communities Through Places of Worship

In many rural areas of Uganda, Muslims gather to pray under trees, in makeshift shelters, or in crumbling structures with no roof, electricity, or clean water. Without a proper masjid, communities lack a central place for prayer, Islamic learning, and social unity.

Umar Khan Charity Organization is committed to constructing and renovating mosques that are functional, dignified, and accessible to all. Your donation helps build not only a house of worship — but a hub for faith, guidance, and community life.

🧱 What We Build

Each masjid project is designed to suit the specific needs and size of the local Muslim community. Construction projects include:

• Prayer Hall with cement flooring and proper roofing
• Ablution (Wudhu) Area and clean water source (linked with borehole when possible)
• Solar Lighting for safety and nighttime use
• Toilets and sanitation facilities
• Islamic school room (Madrasa) when feasible

We also renovate dilapidated mosques by repairing walls, roofs, floors, and improving sanitation and access to water.
