🌍 The Struggle Beyond Survival
While food and shelter are essential, long-term poverty relief comes through sustainable income. In Uganda, countless families live hand-to-mouth, with no access to stable employment or vocational skills. Women, widows, and youth are especially vulnerable.
Through Umar Khan Charity Organization’s Livelihood Aid & Skills Training Program, we equip people with the tools and knowledge to support themselves and their families — restoring dignity through self-reliance.

We don’t just give — we train, equip, and empower. Our projects focus on:
✅ Skills Training Programs
Hands-on vocational courses in:
- Tailoring & sewing
- Carpentry & woodwork
- Welding & mechanics
- Hairdressing & beauty
- Agriculture & poultry farming
- Entrepreneurship & business literacy
Graduates receive startup kits to begin earning immediately.
✅ Start-Up Support & Microbusiness Grants
We provide:
- Toolkits & seed capital
- Equipment (e.g., sewing machines, salon kits, carpentry tools)
- Business mentorship and follow-up monitoring
